Shadow Moses is a genre-bending metalcore band from Los Angeles, California. Blending the intensity of metalcore with the soul of hip-hop, R&B, and EDM, the band channels a duality they call the “Heaven & Hell complex” — a balance between chaos and clarity, destruction and hope.

Formed in 2019 and officially debuting in 2021, Shadow Moses has built their sound around raw emotion, lived experience, and the mission to empower listeners to live fully through life’s darkest moments. Their music stands as both a weapon and a refuge — capturing the highs, lows, and everything in between.

The band’s debut album, This Present Darkness (released May 26th, 2023) introduced their powerful, dynamic sound — aggressive yet melodic, raw yet refined. In May 2025, Shadow Moses followed up with their explosive single “Ikari”, showcasing their most personal and refined production to date. That same month, they performed their milestone 10th show at Chain Reaction in Anaheim, marking another chapter in their rapid rise.

On October 22, 2025, Shadow Moses released their newest EP, Where Night Ends, the sequel and final chapter to their debut album. Where Night Ends serves as both a conclusion and a rebirth — closing one story while opening the next phase of the band’s evolution.

Now consisting of Christian Ocampo (vocals), Alan Le (guitar), Freddy Uyehara (bass), and Edgar Canaan (drums), Shadow Moses represents a new wave of heavy music that refuses to be boxed in. With a growing fanbase spanning new-age listeners and veteran scene kids alike, the band continues to redefine what it means to be heavy — where every song is both a fight and a light.
